Infrastructure


One of the Bergen Research Foundation’s main initiatives is to contribute to establishing infrastructure at the University of Bergen and in the Helse Bergen health trust. The infrastructure initiative ranges from contributions to innovative research infrastructure in the social sciences to the procurement of equipment of immediate benefit to patient treatment.

The Foundation itself contacts relevant partners and initiates cooperation based on its own priorities.

UiB has purchased a 600 MHz NMR instrument with financial assistance from the Bergen Research Foundation, UiB, and the Helse Førde and Helse Bergen health trusts. The equipment is particularly well suited to long series of biological samples, particularly for medical metabolomics studies.
